FTX is a cryptocurrency exchange built by traders, for traders. FTX offers innovative products including industry-first derivatives, options, volatility products and leveraged tokens. We strive to develop a platform robust enough for professional trading firms and intuitive enough for first-time users.

Sam Bankman-Fried

CEO and Founder

Before founding Alameda and then FTX, Sam was a trader on Jane Street Capital’s international ETF desk. He traded a variety of ETFs, futures, currencies, and equities, and designed their automated OTC trading system. He graduated from MIT with a degree in physics.

Gary Wang

CTO and Founder

Gary was a software engineer at Google prior to founding Alameda and FTX. There, he built systems to aggregate prices across millions of flights, decreasing latency and memory usage by over 50%. He graduated from MIT with a degree in Mathematics with Computer Science.

Nishad Singh

Head of Engineering

Prior to joining FTX, Nishad was a software engineer at Facebook where he worked on applied Machine Learning. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of California Berkeley with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Dan Friedberg

General Counsel

Prior to joining FTX, Dan was a partner at Fenwick & West LLP. There, he led the cryptocurrency practice, and was the chair of the Payment Systems group. Dan received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, cum laude, as well as his M.B.A.

Jen Chan


Her last position before joining FTX in October 2018 was with Alter Domus as Head of the Hong Kong office. Jen graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and is a CPA.

Constance Wang


Prior to joining FTX Constance worked on private banking AML/KYC and risk controls in Credit Suisse before joining Huobi Global as a business development manager, focusing on expanding their institutional business in APAC.

Darren Wong


Darren was an early software engineer at Simility, a ML fraud detection startup which got acquired by PayPal. He audited smart contracts for projects like Wabi.

Michael Burgess

Head of Partnerships

Michael was a project management consultant for a diversified energy company prior to joining FTX. He graduated from Sydney Business School with a Masters of Applied Finance.
